Prison Correspondence Programme
“twelve steps to freedom” NA prison correspondence programme to be piloted at Auckland Wonen’s Prison. This programme is designed to introduce prisoners to a sponsor and the twelve steps of NA through the mail and email. I am definitely looking for sponsors at the moment we need women to step into this service from anywhere in NZ. The requirement to start the process is one year clean, must have a sponsor and be working or have worked the steps and able to commit to one sponsee (around two letters per month). Sponsors will remain anonymous to the prisoner and all mail is directed to a po.box rather than using any personal addresses. There are three forms to fill out initially and a conscience around three times a year. If anyone I see interested or wants more information please email twelvestepstofreedomNZ@gmail.
